Thrive is awarded top rating from social housing regulator

Thrive Homes has been awarded the highest rating for how well the organisation is run and for our financial stability by the social housing regulator.

The Regulator of Social Housing has given us a G1 rating for governance and a V1 rating for viability in its latest regulatory judgement.

This follows a G1/V2 grading in 2017, which reflected potential financial risks when we were in the early stages of planning our development programme.

Following a recent In Depth Assessment (IDA) we have been upgraded to our previous G1/V1 rating as the regulator believes we are in a stronger financial position, with sufficient capacity to manage a wide range of risks.

Thrive Chief Executive Elspeth Mackenzie said: “We are pleased to see the regulator acknowledge our strength and stability by upgrading our viability rating.

“Over the past two years our plans have matured, supported with additional funding. This has reassured the regulator that we have the financial capacity and security to manage our future growth.”
