Have you identified an issue with your building that impacts your safety? A risk is something that could damage the structure of the building or impact the spread of fire or smoke. For example:
- The spread of fire
- Total or partial collapse of the building
- Defective building work
- Unexpected failure or the degradation of construction materials
- The discovery of structural defects
- The failure of a critical fire safety measure, such as the automatic opening vent, smoke extraction or fire doors
Our building safety team will review this and respond to you within 24 hours during the working week.

What you need to report
What the risk is with the structure of the building or the fire risk e.g the spread of fire or smoke. If possible, submit photos or videos to help us understand what the issue is.

How and when the report will be dealt with
After a report is made, the fire safety team will investigate and we will contact you within 24 hours during the working week. The fire safety team will forward the report to the complaints team who will record and assign the complaint to a member of the fire safety team.
If the issue is classed as a structure defect or there is a risk of fire or smoke, we will report this to the Building Safety Regulator within 10 days or as soon as possible.
