Welcome to your November newsletter from Thrive Homes
Hello, I’m James,
Before you get stuck into the latest newsletter, here’s a bit about me and what we’ve been working on.
I work with excellent teams to maintain our properties, manage everyday repairs through our in-house service, THS, and prepare homes for new customers. I also plan and oversee extensive programmes of planned maintenance.
We’re committed to continuous improvement and investing in our homes. In 2023-24 we invested £6.82 in improving our homes and I’m delighted that 99.94% meet the Decent Homes Standard.
We are committed to our service offer - the Thrive Deal and encourage you to get involved with the Thrive Customer Voice to help us achieve our goals.
I would like to express my complete gratitude to the gentleman who attended. He was extremely polite, courteous and explained the process along the way and went above and beyond to ensure the process went as smoothly as possible. -Thrive Customer
While we are proud of our progress, we recognize there are areas needing improvement. We are working hard to address these issues and keep you informed. We publish regular updates on planned repair timescales, which you can see by clicking here.
To speed up response times, we’ve recruited more engineers within THS and colleagues in customer services. We are also working with our contractor, Gilmartin’s, and this has already had a positive impact in reducing the time customers have to wait for a repair.
With the season changing, we want to ensure our customers are safe, warm, and well. We have lots of information about preventing and dealing with damp and mould on our website
I also lead our strategic response to Environment, Social & Governance (ESG), aiming for an EPC-C energy efficiency rating and Net Zero Carbon. This goal helps the planet and lowers heating costs for our customers. We are pleased that 83% of our homes have an EPC rating of C and above. We continue to upgrade external wall insulation to improve energy efficiency and helping you to reduce the cost of heating your home.

If there’s anything you’d like to hear about in future newsletters, let us know so we can keep you informed on what matters to you.
Lastly, I wish you all the best for the upcoming festive period. Enjoy celebrations safely with your family and friends.
Please remember we have safety advice on our website at Home Safety - Thrive Homes and on our Facebook page. This includes tips on preventing fires, electrical and gas safety advice, and what to do in an emergency.
We want to make sure our newsletters keep you informed on things that matter to you, so if there’s anything you’d like to hear about let us know.
