Recipients announced for Thrive GIVE’s community grants
Thrive Homes has announced five recipients of this year’s Thrive GIVE community grant fund.
As an organisation providing affordable homes, Thrive is keen to support projects that make a real difference to our customers and their wider communities.
Our community grant application scheme – GIVE Grants – provides funding to locally based charities and community groups that enable them to deliver new or additional services. These community grants are additional to funding given to our core charities who provide free financial advice, support for victims of domestic abuse and mental health case workers.
It’s a privilege to be able to provide funding to these organisations that will help deliver valuable skills, expertise, and services to individuals and the community alike.

In 2021-22, Thrive GIVE is proud to provide grants to;
- 9 Lives Furniture- providing training in furniture repair, restoration, and upcycling to disadvantaged people in the Three Rivers area. The good quality pre-loved furniture is then sold with a 50% discount available to people on benefits and the most needy in society.
- Ascend Digging Deeper Project- a weekly volunteering gardening programme in South Oxhey providing training in landscaping and produce production skills.
- New Hope Trust, Tenancy Sustainment Project - helping 100 vulnerable individuals/families to maintain their tenancies and reduce the risk of becoming homeless again.
- Playskill - supporting physically disabled pre-school children and their families in a specialist playgroup setting.
- Transitions UK - will provide one year's mentoring and personal development (300 hours of support) for one vulnerable young person in our operating area at risk of offending, reoffending, or criminal exploitation.
"Thrive’s biggest contribution to communities is providing affordable homes where people can start and sustain their lives. Whilst our expertise is in building and managing our homes, we recognise the importance of community organisations that provide additional support and services to our customers and the wider community.
It’s a privilege to be able to provide funding to these organisations that will help deliver valuable skills, expertise and services to individuals and the community alike."
